When I first brought Marisol home we didn’t change our routines to be quiet for the baby, and thank goodness we did that because she can sleep through anything – even 4 barking dogs!

One of my most favorite relaxing sounds is falling rain. I live in Texas and falling rain is few and far between, so it is definitely a treat! I’m so excited about the Hush Little Baby CD!!

I think that the sound of rain on a tin roof is the most relaxing sound in the world. And the sound of a mountain stream, specifically the streams in the Great Smoky Mountains. Both of these things bring back sweet memories of my childhood growing up in TN. : )

I love the sound of rain so much that I used to have a cassette of rainforest sounds. It was nice because unlike so many other tapes, this one on had rain sounds and a few crickets occassionally. I miss that tape! ;O)
My oldest woke up more with loud noises but my youngest didn’t even flinch after hearing his brother, etc while in the womb.

One of my favorite sounds is the running of a fan. My husband and I keep a small portable fan in our son’s room and at night when we turn on his monitor we can hear it running and it always puts us right to sleep. I’m even sleepy just thinking about it, hehe:)

My favorite sound, cliche, is the sound of my baby’s heartbeat. I am pregnant after miscarriage early into my first pregnancy. Knowing that this baby’s heart is still beating gives me so much pride and confidence. It NEVER gets old!

i love the sound of listening to my baby girl breathing, this may sound wierd, but i lost her twin age 2 days, and i was holding her when she took her last breath, so my babys breathing is the most relaxing, but also sad.
