Well, I'm from Canada so it's important to me to buy Canadian as well. But I usually find myself buying made in the USA products because you're better at labeling your products as such and there's a wider availability.

Why do I look for USA made products? I KNOW they're safe. No wondering if there's lead, or other contaminants, which is very important to me as my baby suffers from the genetic disorder Neurofibromatosis and I certainly don't want to expose him to anything even remotely dangerous.

Also, I know these products are well-made. I know they weren't made by 8 year olds in some slave factory. I know I'm not funding a corporate monster using cheap workers in underdeveloped countries or engaging in international terrorism. Instead the money I chose to spend as a consumer is going to a company that values paying a fair wage and engaging in socially responsible practices. That's very important to me too!

I would really love to win this.. my daughter is 14 months and very active. This will be quite helpful

Christina

I think it is important to by USA made products because of the satisfaction that comes with knowing your product is safe. I also hope by buying USA made products it is encouraging large companies not to outsource.

Nicole Clawson

I wish I could find MORE products made in the US, because after the safety scares over products made in China over the last couple of years, I've become so aware of how important trustworthy manufacturing regulations are!

Kelly H.

It is important to me to buy American/US made products because I know that they will be made fairly and not by slave/forced labor. I also take comfort in knowing that there aren't toxic chemicals like lead, arsenic, etc. And also knowing that these products are mama made is even better! I love helping other moms whenever I can. Knowing that this is helping another family earn income means a LOT! Thanks for offering this. Very awesome idea!

Marsha

I'm proud to be an American and proud to BUY American! I feel that I don't have to worry about the quality, whether or not it meets safety standards, or if the person made it was a paid worker instead of some child in a foreign country.

This is a GREAT item! I need it, as my little 10 mo old likes to climb out and stand up in buggies and high chairs!

Michelle

Especially in these tough economic times, we need to be more supportive of each other and buy products made here. We can rely on the fact that these products are made under certain guidelines and restrictions to ensure their safety in construction and age and wage of employees.

Jennifer Schlosser

Its important to buy American Made products because TONS of Americans are losing their jobs to people over seas. My Mom just lost her job at Ludens. Ludens is just up and moving to MEXICO! America also has higher standards of quality for children's products. Thank You!

Safety (The products, but also work conditions.) is probably the first reason and with that peace of mind! But supporting our country, it's economy, and the men and women who live here is a huge reason too!!

Heather

I am proud to be American and I love buying American made products. I don't worry (as much) about the quality and toxicity because most American made products abide by stricter guidelines. I would also rather support fellow Americans (especially fellow moms!) than anyone else.

Lisa

Generally speaking, U.S.A. made products are of higher quality, safer, better for the environment, and it helps keep companies here in the U.S., rather than moving or outsourcing to third-world countries. Many third-world countries don't follow environmentally friendly and safe guidelines... so our earth gets further polluted. Again, that can also affect the safety of the products being produced. Plus, there is always the possibility of child labor being utilized in other countries where it is not regulated.

Lana

it's important because it helps keep our economy thriving, something we really need right now.

Danielle S.

ITs important to buy American and support our OWN workers and economy...We are the country bailing everyone else out, they don't return the favor, so its up to US to support our own wellbeing!
:)

Ashley

Not only do I know the products follow US safety standards, but also I like to support the US economy. I know the products usually cost more, but thats because the makers are being paid a fair wage.

Karalin

Aren't Americans just so inventive! It's great. I know a mom who's baby was seriously injured because the car seat flipped off the cart in the parking lot while the baby was in it. Now I want to be very careful about this myself. Buying products made in the USA will help give our economy the jump it needs.

Vanessa

I'm Canadian, so I usually try to shop here first as I believe in buying as local and close to home as possible. As the USA is our neighbour, and usually has a more varied selection, I enjoy buying there too as I know the products will be safe and I can count on them.

Leona

Buying USA products are most likely safe not toxic! Thanks for these great product offers!

Marian

Made in the USA products are important because they support local businesses. The more support we give our local businesses the more we get back in our communities.

Amy

I think that it is important to buy made in the US because then we are supporting our communities and making sure jobs stay here!

Melissa

I think it's important to support US based businesses, especialy moms that have come up with a great product.

dawn w.

I think it's important to buy USA made products here to support our struggling economy and also for the piece of mind that comes from knowing you are not contributing to potential unfair labor practices in third world countries.

Rachel J

I think it's important because it helps our economy, but more important it helps our artistry. Not in art itself but in the art of designing and making things.

Kelly

Products from the USA are much safer than those from, oh lets say, China. Plus we keep jobs open in America... Maybe if more people bought items made here, we would stop losing our jobs to foreign countries.

drew

I think it is important to buy products Made in the USA because I can usually trust them more than ones from a foreign country.

joyce

Products made in the USA are safe, and are so well-thought out. When I want creative products, Made in USA products are the best. And they work well too!

Liz

I buy products made in the USA to support our country and because I know they are safe as a rule!

Krista

I buy USA made products because they are SAFER, better made, and it supports our economy and workers!
