I got VERY excited when you posted about the Peekaru Coat - but then I saw the price. Is $249.95 the correct price for the addition of sleeves, compared to the vest that is $79.95?????

Hi Nichole,
I understand your questioning about the coat, I had the same question myself when I first saw it “is this the correct price?” So I inquired about it from the company to find out why it was priced the way it is. Here is what they told me, “The Soft Shell is made out of the same fabric as this coat http://www.rei.com/product/756509 The fabric is VERY warm and very light and quite stretchy. It is a very high quality coat, with YKK parts and impeccable sewing. It is a coat that you could use for technical outdoor activities, like snow shoeing, cross country skiing etc and will really protect you from the weather. It is actually on par with the other high quality babywearing coats such as what you find here: http://store.metrominis.net/catalog.php?category=20” I don’t feel this is a coat for everyone but a great option for those who are very into outdoor activities and want to take their child along. I hope this makes sense. ~ Heather
